Customer Review: Best Picture by far
I purchased this TV about a week ago and have really gotten to love the picture. If you do buy this you really need a Blue Ray Player. The Blue Ray movies are fantastic.
Overall this was very easy to set up and the picture looks great right out of the box with no adjustments. This is a big tv at 58″ and the HDMI hook ups really make things life like. I hooked it up to a Onkyo receiver with 7.1 surround sound for the ultimate theater experience. I really didn’t like the sound coming from the built in speakers for a set this big.
My son hooked up Xbox360, Wii and Playstation 3 to the set and the motion in the games is great along with unbelievable graphics.
This set has pretty much run 24-7 since we got it without a flaw. The only thing that I really didn’t care about was the internet connectivity. You really don’t get to do much except look at weather, stock and a few other widgets. I do recommend a clean power source with this TV like one made by Monster to keep from getting power spikes.
I think there is no other choice for price and picture. I looked at the Pioneer Elite and felt this had a much better picture along with being much thinner at 1.2″ but it still weighs 100lb’s and that’s pretty heavy to move.
This is one big, bright and sharp picture. I am very happy with my purchase.
Customer Review: Samsung Pros and Cons on this set
This set is fantastic once you get it up and running. The picture is so life like it is unreal and that is to a typical T.V. Antenna; however, here is what some of the problems are.
First try going to Samsung Webb Page to register this produce, GOOD LUCK.
It tries to tell me that the serial number is not a good one and that this product isn’t on the market until May 2010, Yea right, I then trying to hook it up to the internet. What a pain. My home network recognized it being hooked up but at first it however, the set told me it wasn’t there, said there was no connection. Then finally it did recognize it.
I try to activate the divx feature on it and then it tells me that the Divx code that is preset in this plasma set is not a valid code, I try contacting Samsung and finally got a support e-mail, I even attached pictures to the e-mail of the set serial number and model number, That sure was a waste of time, they e-mail me back and said that was Webb page design problem and for me to contact them myself. (I really don’t know how to do that, without an e-mail address or phone number). After all it is their cooperation and they should have done whatever it takes to correct the problem.
I then try to use Microsoft multi-media is looking for an 8 digit code and this has a 10 digit code. Finally had a neighbor that is an I.T. Geek check it out after about 1 hour the network and the TV now finally recognized each other so that I now can access my home computer through the set as to watch movies that are on file on my computer.
Now, this is for the final complaint part. You should be able to upgrade the T.V. software from the set itself my means of the internet, I try to access it and now there is no such luck with that since there is an error (400) pops up. My guess it is looking for the model and serial number as it is interfacing with the Samsung server and since it not a registered it will not allow it to happen.
Samsung needs to make sure that the TV and development engineers, along with technical support and Webb page design need to make sure that customers like me are happy when they make it easy and simple, and easy to contact their customer support without jumping through hoops, and not have to go to the neighbors.
So I still not able to access Divx., or have the product proper registered, and be able to download the up graded software.

Customer Review: Samsung LNT4671F 46″ 1080p 120Hz LCD HDTV “”"DON’ T BUY IT”"”
Samsung LNT4671F 46″ 1080p 120Hz LCD HDTV
THERE ARE A LOT OF COMPLAINTS ABOUT SAMSUNG TVS ONLINE, THEY ARE GETTING BLOTCHES AND SPECKS ON SCREENS, AND MY COMPLAINT IS MY 1 YR OLD SAMSUNG i PAID 2500. FOR TAKES ONE MINUTE TO TURN ON AND WILL CLICK THE WHOLE TIME, IF I COULD GO BACK IN TIME, I WOULD HAVE SPENT A LITTLE MORE AND GOT THE SONY.
Customer Review: A good choice
I have owned this tv for about 1-1/2 months and am very pleased with the entire purchase experience. In fact, another family member recently ordered the 40 inch version based from her viewing and my past experience with Amazon and the “white glove” delivery service. That alone should also be a consideration.
When I received the tv, it was brought into the house, unpacked, inspected for damage and set onto the old tv stand. Although I do not subscribe to a cable service and rely on the “old fashioned” antennae, the picture was absolutely amazing when we powered the tv on. The delivery driver couldn’t believe I would get a signal, let alone several digital channels over the air, not previously known they even existed. I don’t have any idea what’s being programmed, because they’re not listed anywhere. Oh well, I won’t complain receiving 9 additional stations free!
My choice narrowed down to the Sony XBR and the Samsung based on what I’ve learned and seen visiting the big box stores. I was always annoyed by the reflections of lamps during night viewing and the windows during the day. The matte finish on both tv’s was the way to go for me and proved to be the answer; no reflections what so ever.
I’m not a techie freek so I really did pay so much attention to the nitty gritty, but knew that the 120 hz motion control was desireable, as well as the ability to view pictures from my camera and connect a computer to the set for possible future applications. (that was kind of neat)
I’ve read numerous comments regarding this model and felt that the overwhelming number of 5 star ratings must mean something. After comparing the Samsung against the Sony (size, features, picture quality, etc.), it comes down to cost. To me it was a no brainer. I saved approximately $1000. You do the math.
So far I haven’t had any issues and am still learning what feature does what. My only hope is that if I do have a problem, Samsung will provide the needed service. Previous comments note that Samsung’s customer service is not as good as they should be. Again, I hope I don’t have to find out. All in all, this tv has great picture, and that’s what I wanted.
I suggest you stop comparing and pondering, just place the order. You’ll be happy when it finally arrives and your watching what you like to watch. Others will be asking you the same questions you had. Enjoy!
