how to connect another VCR to HDTV.?

I have a 32 "HDTV. I have a combo DVD / VCR connected to it, but now the DVD does not work correctly. shake the image and it seems that it needs adequate monitoring, but there is no button on the box or follow remote. (A Goldstar combo DVD / VHS). is in any way I can connect my old DVD player and always leave the DVD / VCR combo connected b / c dvd part plays well? if its possible, could someone tell me how, in laymans terms? I am very technologically challenged. Thank you very much for all the answers. ps. I also have HDTV and DVD / VCR connected to my cable box.

Its function is available on the TV. Basically, you have to go the back of the TV and see if you have more entries on the left. Obviously your combo DVD / VHS is making one of the inputs (allows to call an entry simply for the sake of argument). Some TVs only option 1. So you need to see If you are more (input 2, input 3, etc..) If your TV has more input options, and then just find one that matches to your VCR. As the RCA cables (yellow, red, white). If your TV input is always open to everyone and your VCR has RCA outputs, then voila, you're good to go. So you just turn your TV on different input adjustment (input 1 would be your old combo drive and input 2 is your VCR for example). It's really all that should be, unless you have a limited number of entrances or exits a kind of weird on the VCR. In this case, there are always several options, but might just take a little more understanding.
